read, but it is not being read in correctly. Here are two examples of a
line in the policy file and what output from xinput it leads to after
reboot:

Same problem here. On-board ATI RS690M [Radeon X1200 Series]. Using
fglrx driver that comes with Ubuntu 8.10-amd64 . Fullscreen OpenGL
programms only work when run as root. Adding myself to the 'video'
group does _not_ help.

Workaround: add the following line to
/etc/modprobe.d/thinkpad_acpi.modprobe
options thinkpad_acpi experimental=1 hotkey=enable,0x8f
bluetooth=disable
Now Bluetooth will be disabled by default on boot but can be enabled by hitting
[Fn]+[F5]
Tested to work on my T42.

I don't know if X-Windows is the right name. Ever since I upgraded to
Intrepid, when I play freecell, while I am dragging a card, it crashes
all of x-windows. Sometimes I have to ctrl-alt-backspace to recover, and
other times I have to complete reboot the machine by holding do

connecting to the server.

I have just upgraded to kernel "2.6.27-11-generic" and running "nodfs"
as a mount option as previously posted. I no longer get the error
message but the mount still does not happen automatically during/after
boot. I still need to mount the share manually. This worked every time
in 8.04 and 7.10

start KDE 4.1 with the composite effect enabled. So it works! Thanks a
lot.
For the record, my laptop is a Thinkpad X40 with 82852/855GM Integrated
Graphics Device (see attached lsmod.txt).
