The main thing I notice when this happens (only in FF for me) is that
one of my dual core CPUs runs at 100%, the other drops to about 5%. Both
cores can run at 100%, it seems random.

I am using Gnome, so as i read above i did not enable apport.
Probably the break comes from running gedit with sudo, but the weird
part is that there is no .crash file in /var/crashes and when i rename
the directory and remove the quote everything works fine.

The wireless is built into the laptop, its a Realtek 8187B. The wireless does
always work with Windows Vista, and had no problems with it until Ubuntu.
Ubuntu also works perfect with it. I've tried what you asked and it contiunes
to happen and Windows Vista still didnt detect it without me playi
I get this warning on Intrepid resuming from suspend-to-RAM reproducibly
with the vanilla kernel 2.6.27.8 as well.

I have tested in 8.04 (I only use the LTS version of Ubuntu). When you
run the X version of Bastille with 800X600 the buttons are there. At
640X480 the buttons are not. If you run Bastille w/o the X GUI (bastille
-c) the prompts are there in both 800X600 and 640X480.

i have to brighten it back up.

- Toshiba Satellite L40-17U
- Pentium Dual-Core
- Intel x3100 graphics card (on-board)
- 1 GB Ram
