The menu item accelerators are user-configurable. System -> Preferences
-> Appearance -> Interface, hit the second checkbox. You can change
them to ctrl+1 ctrl+2 etc if you want. Also, irssi lets you use Esc
followed by a number (not holding down escape, just click, let go, hit a
number).

Xgl is old, crusty, is no longer in the Intrepid repositories, and was
never needed for your Intel card in the first place!
I'd suggest simply removing the xserver-xgl package and switching back
to the intel driver. I'm marking these bugs as invalid, but feel free

Hey,
recently I tried easytag 2.1.6 with kubuntu gutsy and I noticed the same bug.
It took over 2hours renaming about 2.000 songs with a Celeron 1,6GHz.
As described by Hew McLachlan it takes 2-3s per file. But is it really an issue
of easytag? I don't think this problem appears on other linux

I tried to record a lircd.conf before sending the bug. But I guess it is beyong
my competencies. I don't understand clearly the steps to perform. I also lack
of background knowledge on how devices work... :)

I just found an important additional piece of information:
I unmounted the share and mounted it again, but not with the fstab-
entry, but instead via "Places" - "Network" - "Windows Network" -
"Workgroup" - "Servername" (and rightklick there the share)

comments (including mine) telling about totem problem while playing
files. The root cause is some problem with pulseaudio.

I donĀ“t really understand very well what is the reason, but issuing
"asoundconf -set-pulse" at a console also works for me. Now I can hear
the drums and the login sound in gdm, and once inside the gnome session
everything seems ok (totem, sound settings in the panel, etc.)

I was using Intrepid Beta, and wired & wireless networking used to work fine.
After (failed) resurrection from hibernation (don't know if it has something
