/usr/share/b43-fwcutter/install_bcm43xx_firmware.sh and modprobe bcm43xx

Yes install all the packages you need as depends or change your
sources.list to use gb or uk mirro
Last night I did a dist upgrade to Hardy and have no virtual terminals still,
so yes it is still a problem.
I will try the fix using Envy to install nvidia driver version 96.43.05 if I
can and see what happens.
