I am sorry, in main this is not problem with zoom tool.
Problem is that when I browse pages with default zoom, letters are very
small (and really it is on the most pages). You can see it on images. Of
course I tried to set default font-size bigger, minimal font-size etc.
but nothing of this helps
When I use zoom tool to make main text (results of search :-)) readable,
than it of course make all fonts bigger and it looks like in attach
(fonts on the top of the page are huge, fonts in buttons are huge etc.)

I have kernel 2.6.24-19 also and this bug continues to be terrible. I
get lockups and freezes even if I'm not doing anything on my laptop. I
can step away and come back and my screen is frozen as well as my
harddrive. The harddrive activity indicator always remains "stuck" lit
during a freeze mome

I think it's now well-established that the lockups/freezes in Hardy are
being produced by a wide variety of situations. The only times I get
lockups without using RT61 wireless are during gameplay with WINE.

@nick: from my observation the system hangs after unmounting the harddisks and
it should be rather save to forcefully power down the system then. it's in no

2. aptitude install libasound2-plugins

Looks like this is a problem with using loose binding with the nvidia
driver. As of right now we have to choose between these random redraw
problems or incredibly poor performance but apparently there is some
work going on upstream to make a sort of hybrid between loose binding
and strict binding t

happens if I just reboot. After logging in my brightness is much too
low.

Actually I've been informed that as of compiz 0.7.6 there is an option
for this so I'm changing the status to Fix Released. Also, in the hardy
packages it goes by whatever monitor you click your mouse on last so you
can at least do that for now.
