I agree that from a purely technical point of view, there is some
inherent logic in that. From the user's point of view, this is, however,
not understandable.
You can ask yourself which information a user would expect to have: The
birthdate of the file or the date of some copying process. Secondly
If updating to the kernel in proposed, yes it will likely break. When
this kernel goes live, we will issue an update.

My Hardy system was working fine up to and including the 2.6.24-18
kernel. Yesterday I upgraded to 2.6.24-19, and I got this same problem.
I did the install and the reboot, and afterwards X came up in failsafe

However I cannot reproduce the problem on my machine:

Okay, let's make some order. We have two separate bugs here:
1. VMware bug: VMware deletes the modifier keys: in VMware console, being
focused on the guest OS, holding Ctrl down while moving the mouse out into the
host machine, then leaving Ctrl.
This causes all the modifier keys to be deleted :

Nope, that bug is not a problem for me. I am pretty sure that it is this issue
i am suffering from. The description fits perfectly, and what Mike Rooney says
makes sense to me.

I am running Gutsy Gibbon - 64-bit.
I have only just started using Liferea a couple days ago but it hasn't
seemed the most reliable in general for me. The only problem I have had
up to this point was that when I added rules for the search folders, it
didn't update right away or would go empty. The

I have also experienced this (hardy), I'm using an Intel iMac. It is
annoying as hell, especially when alt-tabbing between windows and copy-
pasting: the mouse freezes every single time I do these things.
And it was very hard to find the cause of the problem because a simple
google search does not
