I can also confirm this bug. I am using a Thinkpad T30, and when upgrading to hardy this bit me hard and it took some debugging to realize that the kernel was causing the trouble. When the boot process hung, I pressed ctrl-alt-delete, and the system resumed, but in a very strange way. Almost no hardware worked when gnome finally came up and I got really confused. The last month I have had to delete any incoming 2.4.24 kernels from grub and only boot the .22 version, otherwise the system would be completely b0rked.
I would like to help, but don't know where to start. This _is_ a serious bug for T30 owners, and users that are less computer-savvy than me would probably be way frustrated. -- couldn't start with 2.6.24-12 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/205715 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
