Quick correction: installing flash 10 and libflashsupport (without
ndspluginwrapper) still causes firefox crashes. Removing libflashsupport and

I have a similar issue, both with hardy and with gutsy.
If my laptop is connected to an external monitor of a larger size, kdm-
kde4 looks fine, and seems to understand to clone the screen and make
the external monitor go to its full resolution. The laptop shows a
portion of the screen (virtual)

BTW I forced libupnp3 installation via dpkg --force-all (which however removed

to play DDVDs by replacing the /dev/dvd option in xine engine parameters
with /dev/scd0, but now this fix doesn't work anymore. BTW I only have

I saw this bug yesterday in Hardy. I put in the live cd and _still_ saw
the error. Very weird. I put the live cd into my laptop and I got the
same error. Too much of a coincidence I thought.
I rebooted my router and it went away. Weirdest thing. Try it! It

Have this problem on Hardy, but didn't on Gutsy. The Ctrl and Alt keys
(possibly) others stop working outside the VM -- but do work inside the

I've just updated BIOS of my Asus P5GD1 from 1013 to 1014 and my PC was

On my system, I see the problem every few months. On my system,
everything will be working fine, and then out of the blue sdb stops
responding to SATA commands completely, and not even a shutdown -r now
