I misinterpreted the bug behavior. It doesn't freeze because of the
absence of an external monitor, it crashes when no USB device is plugged
in or if I unplug my usb devices (all on 2 cascading hubs). I can't

Confirming for the given document. Printing to a file works only for
PDF, while printing to PS does not create any output (but no crash, no
error messages). It might be a duplicate of the other printing bugs
listed for evince, but I don't have time to look into that right now...

It was working fine in last 4 or 5 version of Ubuntu, so it is typical

I must not have looked hard enough(.!!) as all I could find was badram. I was
shocked that nothing like it was packaged or anything. Someone, through a forum
system, somewhere, claimed that badram was my only option in software, and I
believed it.

Hi,
after updating to HH I sometimes turn on a laptop and when is booting complete
nothing happen, it goes to the Black screen and nothing works.
Only with SysRq and REISUB a I can restart system and second boot usually works
for me and GDM apears.

Being horribly impatient, I've compiled it myself following instructions
from comment

Seems that it now works and my problems are solved.
If there is popular request I can provide the binary, even here, it is
only 42KB gzipp

Well, I can confirm it crashes only when NO USB Mouse is present.
The Problem apparently is also present on ArchLinux:

also a temporarily fix for it - using AGP 1x Mode only.
