Hi there, i tried to apply these patches as well but i'm not sure if it
worked after all. Applying the patch using the patch command wouldn't
work so i altered the original files manually. I compiled the driver
again but i don't know if it is actually using overlay video instead of
textured video.
Public bug reported:
My ISP requires VPN (PPTP connection) to access the Internet. This should be an
easy thing to do right from the start.
And there is no easy way to configure VPN on either 7.10 or 8.04 Alpha 6
Desktop CD. Just think how essential Internet connection is to the installation

Ok i found the solution.
Install the huawei.tar.bz2
(http://oozie.fm.interia.pl/src/huawei.tar.bz2) and then plugit again
and it works like a charm
Instructions:
- Download the file
- Extract the file
- Go inside the folder you0ve extracted
- sudo ./make install_ubuntu
- connect again the modem
Adding to my comments above:
I found that this problem only occurs when using my Belkin 7port USB
hub, if I connect via my motherboard USB ports the IPOD will connect
successfully each time.
Another problem has arisen with Hardy however, in that ejecting the IPOD
using the desktop icon results in
