scubanator87 - the issue here is not automatic connection - it's being able to connect period to hidden networks. The issue seems to be that network-manager is not interfacing with several drivers the way it is supposed to (using the wrong AP_SCAN value, for example). I assume then that there is no problem with ipw2200.
