I have recently done a fresh install of Hardy Kubuntu. In that release
when I use the keyboard volume controls the volume will not go above 48%
(it does work at increasing the volume to 48% and down to 0%). I have to
use kmix to increase the volume above 48%.

When i'm running large upgrades i just open another terminal and type:
$ watch -n 5 sudo killall scrollkeeper-update
This effectively keeps the scrollkeeper death from slowing the upgrade.

Thanks for your bugreport.
This is fixed in hardy now. Even if the initial sources.list is invalid
the update will continue and comment out broken entries when the
sources.list is updated to the new distribution.

seems like I have the same problem here. I updated yesterday from gutsy
to hardy. I'm using 3.0~b3+nobinonly-0ubuntu4, using a radeon Mobility
9700 (r300) with radeon driver. One more problematic website is

maybe it's not the passwd command but i don't know what is lauched when
the DC makes the password expire (in that case changing the password
works).
anyway when you type "passwd" the system says something like "new NT
password" or something like that (i don't have the real output now) thus
passwd
