This was fixed the day following the release. a new install all setups

Agreed this should get bumped up. I noticed issues before gusty,
anything in evince or kghostview with graphics results in an Error
Operand stack message being printed. Just tried Kpdf on a Gnome install
and it took a while but worked with the BR3 script driver and the
foomatic postscript ppd.

I did the upgrade as you suggested, but now the Firefox 2 is gone. The upgrade
caused that I can run Firefox 3 now but Firefox 2 was upgraded to Firefox 3. So

Sounds like a compiz problem. Try without compiz (uninstall it if needed). I am
not sure, but this should disable it for your account:

Default only has sense when you have checked "separate layout for each window".
It is the default layout for newly appearing windows. If you have global layout
(like I see you do), you start your session with the language first in the list
(USA in your case), that's it.

I use Feisty (7.04) with nautilus 2.18.1-0ubuntu1. But Hardy (8.04) beta
3 live CD is still affected.
Steps to reproduce:
With nautilus open a folder in a list-viewed window which has a non-empty
folder F in it. Unfold folder F by clicking smal
could be that there's no way for us to ship it, because it was acquired
from the windows driver, and the company behind it is not in the
business anymore.

1) the engine needs more cleanup, I can also port it to pango if this is
desired/ensures that it stays.
2) the themes need some (careful) color changes, see first shot, so that input
fields not disappear on white webpages.

Vytas: thanks for the info. I tried dragging my desired layout to the
top and that seemed to work. It would be more logical though if one
could just select it as the default, even in a global layout but that's
a minor thing indeed.
