After todays update it magically worked (again - it worked under feisty
before). I am guessing it had to to with the update of libpulse0.
Now I have the same old problem that I hear myself over my headphones, but I
had that before and can live with it.

Using the following in my .bashrc instead of the current 3 related lines
fixes the problem for me:

I ran through the test case with app-install-data-commercial version 8.3
on Gutsy and did not see parallels available. After installing app-
install-data-commercial version 8.4, from gutsy-proposed, I did see
parallels available and was able to install it and use it.

Koen, the command it self should ask for a confirmation about "Do you
want to upgrade [Y/n] y" this is the standard way how apt-get works its
got nothing to do with sudos password. Its common logic in the apt
package. This effect is the same even though you have used sudo -s -H

I would suggest to close this bug... I verified it in on hardy alpha 3 and
youtube videos do play.
You need to install some extra restricted packages as outlined on

At least for me this appears to have been fixed in the latest round of
updates (1-2 days ago). I am now able to upload and modify directories
