I now realize me asking you to test via the LiveCD doesn't make any sense :) Would you have spare room and an extra partition to test installing? I can give you instructions on how to manually install the Hardy kernel on your Gutsy installation but I'd almost prefer you not messing with your existing working setup. Hope that helps. Thanks.
