The problem may be because the ipw3945 module needs to be reloaded in
order for network-manager to reestablish the WiFi connection after a
resume. I had a similar problem and adding ipw3945 in the
SUSPEND_MODULES list in /usr/lib/pm-utils/defaults fixed it.

I can't use ALSA with the sound driver I'm using, so it would be have to be
tested with an ALSA driver.
I can get ALSA's snd-intel8x0 driver working if I allow it to load instead of
my current driver, and I've tried to set sound output to OSS while that driver
was loaded.
It did not freeze, but
Middle-click on the tab does not open the URL in the clipboard here, but
produces the error-message I mentioned above in the bug-report.
