I created a similar patch and attached it to bug 50214. My
understanding from reading the ndiswrapper documentation is that
ndiswrapper is not supposed to work at all with AP_SCAN 1. For that
reason I set it to always use AP_SCAN 2 with the ndiswrapper driver, as
it does with the orinoco_cs drive

Tribe 5. Then, we should open a new bug if we indeed find this bug in

My x61s doesn't have a cdrom drive, so it is not that easy. I tried to

nope, says its not installed, but can install it using apt-get. but I
read your patch and I don't think it applies to me, I can read code and
your patch seems to rule me out. I have a hidden AP, its not ad-hock,
and I see wpa_supplicant running as well as the prism54PCI running in
the task manager.
Okay, I've spent some time tracing through the source code for
NetworkManager. Some observations:
- The problem seems to have nothing to do with AP_SCAN 1 vs. AP_SCAN 2. I only
see only place in the entire NetworkManager source that issues AP_SCAN at all
(supplicant_send_network_config()), but
perhaps this is related Bug #156428

Hi, Michael, I have tried your script. The weird thing is, after I
executed it, it made substitution for *all* my fonts with my Sans alias
in the font.conf file, and that brought abundant unnecessary
substitutions. Is this because we set font.conf in different ways?

I've found this most often caused in Firefox during opacity/alpha
transitions. For example, the crossfading 'latest features' javascript
on the Shacknews frontpage hangs my machine upteen times each week - but
only as the transition starts and is on-screen (scrolling down to hide
it avoids the hang
