On my Dell notebook, the battery is found twice too - so I think it's
not a problem of kpowersave or kde-guidance, but of hal.
In guidance, I see three batteries, whereas battery number 2 is not

I have the same problem with a Nvidia GeForce 6600 and 8400 GS. Besides
the Braid screensaver there are also others in the xscreensaver-data-
extra xscreensaver-gl-extra packages that will do the same. However I
think this is a Compiz bug because all screensavers work fine with
Compiz turned off

My External Speakers and headphones have stopped working on Toshiba A135-S2246.
The speakers built in the system are working fine.
And there is nothing wrong with the speakers itself as they work good on XP.
I tried to reinstall alsa-driver too but that doesnt helped either.
It it works after restart from Windows, this suggests that you don't have the
correct firmware for this card.
Windows leaves the firmware in the DVB-t decoder after reboot, enabling some
people's cards to work.
