I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon 64-Bit version on the Dell Vostro 1000

I have the same problem as Marcus. Everything worked fine on a clean
install until I changed my password. Now I login in with my new
password but then the keyring manager pops up and needs me old password.
I can not find a way to change the keyring password to match my new

I had this problem with Inkscape. It often happened within a few minutes from
starting Inkscape. Thanks for the workaround!
Here's a slightly simpler procedure for the same workaround:
1. Edit ~/.scim/config and set /FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic = true
2. Make the file immutable: sudo chattr +i ~/.scim
just updated to 8.04 and that either messed up my hostname or it's not
good for sudo anymore, I'm a bit confused at the moment

Noticed a whole bunch of error messages in /var/log/user.log that seem
to coincide with the time for the scroll wheel actions. Attached is the
log.
Also note, scrolling up and down on this launchpad bug moves in jumps
spaced nearly a second apart. Gutsy scrolls evenly in sync with the

I am running a dual boot XP/Media and Ubuntu 6.08. I downloaded the
alternate Ubuntu 7.10 on another computer and burned a disk. The new
version of 7.10 does not load on boot up. I tried accessing it from
6.08 but nothing happened.
