Well, I just made another user ("guest"), and I can't seem to even
enable Visual Effects on that one. Don't know why, it just says it can't
enable it. Odd. However, when I turn off Visual Effects under my
username, the problem goes away. I guess I'll just have to keep them off

saturation slider was all the way to the left.
I never changed this myself, so I'm not sure how it got modified. Does anyone

Got it working.
I had the notes set to show on all workspaces. After I toggled that
option off and back on it started working ok.

I will also add a "me too". I am running Gutsy on a Dell Inspiron 8200
with NVidia graphics, running the nvidia driver (glx). It's running
gnome and compiz-fusion.
The problem occurs occasionally for me, usually when pressing Ctrl-Alt-
Left (or Right) to change desktops in Compiz, or in Firefox or

source of the new upstream that fixes the issues you describe) is not

In that case I'd say the bug ought to be retitled to a more general
request to upgrade SCons rather than a request for a specific version of
SCons as it is currently - I queried this because as things stand it's
asking for a particular version to be merged.

GDM to use it, after reboot another theme is set (don't remember if is
it Circles or Happy GNOME). When I go to gdmsetup the themes Circles and

I can confirm that on Intel E6750 platform, GA-P35-DS3 mobo and Gigabyte 8600GT
card the fix by Orange2k works (plus startup-manager of course).
Startup manager did not work by itself, I think it's adding the modules to
initram.

Tested again in 0.20, no improbvement.
To make my self clear, steps to reproduce:
- open generic search (Ctrl-Alt-F)
- enter a search term
- choose a note
- close search dialog
- reopen search dialog (Ctrl-Alt-F)
- search term is blank (again)
What I like to see: in stead of a blank search term,
this is fixed in version 0.4.4+debian-2 ( hardy ) , backports to all
supported releases in progress
