It seems that using the keys to set the brightness leads to a temporary
change of brightness. There is some time out that then resets the
brightness to the level determined by the applet on the panel. I would
suggest this is an error not a feature. Is it deserving a new bug

no need for parameters really
try to logout -> it doesn't work
move to the package dir ->
$ ./xcompmgr # -> logout -> it works
$ dpkg -i name-of-your-package
$ xcompmgr # logout: it doesn't work anymore :/

When i us the intel driver my laptop is crashing like hell.
So i gona restore the original xorg.conf that uses the intel drivers.
Convert it to a dual screen conf and post the error logging.
Also if update gnome-screensaver. (security update form ubuntu

I had this problem on my vostro 1500 with fiesty installed but didn't bothered

this error is expected, currently py-lp-bugs is able to parse per package bug
lists like [1] and personal bug lists like [2]. But I agree having the ability

I second that, that is not really a fix. and leaving the fan issue
aside, hibernate does otherwise work fine on this laptop. Also, as I
said earlier in my bug report, it is possible to 'kickstart' the fan
again after resuming from hibernate, by disconnecting and reconnecting
AC power. Maybe a fix c
