This hasn't yet been applied to -fixes has it? We can get that patch in
gutsy at least (provided it applies cleanly) if you'd like. I guess there
is a chance it might not since it's against ffmpeg isn't it?

without the -J option and successfully burned a DVD+RW. How do I disable this
in K3b,etc? If that's the problem.

Actually, the bug is back, but the steps to reproduce have changed: move
the mouse to the top-right corner to activate scale, then choose a
window within two seconds. Once the animation is finished, I get a
