I had same problem, I wasn't in the lpadmin group. Before gutsy update I
was there. I have two sudo users in my machine, "admin" group was ok
after update. But "lpadmin" not, only the other user was there, not me.

i did 'chroot /target' and 'grub-install /dev/sda'

I then tried to morph Alvin's xorg.conf into my old, and it turns out

Oh, I can definitely still reproduce it. Working around it has just been
a joy (sarcasm). I have become extremely adept at using the file menu
from the keyboard. In fact, now I use the keyboard for all programs to
access the file menu.

I don't remember where I saw it, but try changing the device to "usb:"
instead of /dev/anything ... that worked for me on a Tungsten C. (I
