Public bug reported:
when installing gutsy-alternate-i386.iso in virtualbox 1.4 (on debian
etch i386), i chose guided partitioning which created sda1 as root and
sda5 as swap. while installing grub to mbr, i got 'installation step
failed'. please see screenshot 1 for relevant syslog part. when i tried
the same with lilo, same error. screenshot 2
