I have the exact same problem, however in english and imho it has
nothing to do with localization. My laptop has a sata disk and the disk

When automatc update started, it downloaded linux-image-2.6.20-16-generic, and
it cannot update from version 2.6.20-16.29 to 2.6.20-16.31. On the middle of
process it stops with this error:

I confirm it works now with gutsy-amd64 on a Thinkpad T61p with Nvidia Quadro
FX 570M.
However, I had to explicitly uninstall the manual installation of NVidia's
driver, I reinstalled nvidia-glx-new and res
I've asked upstream and they confirm that this version should not cause
regression.

used by very few servers)

What we have to do at Ubuntu is to assure that a privileged user is not
only in the "admin" group (to perform commands as root using sudo) but
also in the "lpadmin" group (to send administrative requests to the CUPS
daemon) and perhaps also in other groups to get admin privileges on

I have the same notebook and I'm using the vesa driver on Gutsy. kdm
works and I don't have the line in /var/log/daemon.log. If you want me
