additional packages I needed. All others from official repos + swiftfox

Until this issue is resolved (access to this disk is critical to my
work) I have temporarily returned to using Edgy, however the problem
also exists when running Feisty from the Live DVD so I include the dmesg
output from that. I hope that's sufficient.

I was seeing similar behavior. Fixed by resetting the Default Zoom
Level(s) in the Preferences dialog.

I downloaded ubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386.iso again, burned it, and booted
to the live CD. I then went and copied Xorg.0.log and xorg.conf to a usb
pen, rebooted to XP and am posting now.
I hope this helps. I do want Ubuntu to work and I am prepared to assist

Fabio, the Feisty version of debian/hsg80_start seems to be a bit more
elaborate, and it has a different if logic than the dapper one (Feisty
restarts the device if sg_turs is false, dapper's script doesn't). Does
that need some updates? The rest of the diff looks good.

I have a very similar problem.
I use Edgy and Num-lock is activated at unexpected moments. I do use an
Acer-aspire laptop... In a few days i will upgrade to feisty. I will report
when the problem persists.

Yes, it fails with a clean profile. What happens is that anything
contained within the feed is displayed, but anything that requires
liferea to go and fetch something over http fails. I think what happens
is that the original feed is fetched by liferea itself and then the feed
item is handed over
