I just spent 13 hours installing the upgrade to 7.04, hoping it would fix
the Gnome-screensaver bug (106060). It didn't. My PC still froze as soon
as I opened the Screensaver window, since Molecule was still selected.
Is there a way to edit or trash the Gnome-screensaver-preferences file?

I believe I can reproduce this in Debian 4.0 (and in Ubuntu 6.06). I
didn't have to actually zap my X server; just closing the ekiga window
with Alt+F4 is enough to leave the instance running in the background.

I am also experiencing crashes related to CPU frequency scaling. I have
a dual core processor (Core 2 Duo E6600) and every time I run a heavy
process the computer freezes once the process is finished and load goes
to zero. If I run e.g. glxgears with nice 19 in the background, this
does not occur.

I upgraded to Kunbuntu Edgy to Feisty and now some wmv playback is crippled too
(wmv8 / 9 ?). But the backend is not gstreamer, it's Xine in my case
(Kaffeine/Codeine). Files play fine in Mplayer though.
I'm set up with the medibuntu repos.

I'm in the same boat as Nate, no option in bios to disable the FDC.
I'm also having problems eith corrupted display when gnome starts.
I can add screen=1280x1024 to the boot options to fix it.
Is there a boot option to disable the FDC?

I just verified the upgrade failure in a clean edgy install.
invoke-rc.d fails for some reason and that causes the maintainer script
to fail. The prerm should ignore those errors.

Same problem with Feisty Final Live CD on a Samsung V25 Laptop.
I was able to mount my fat32 partition and copy the casper.log. My cdrom
drive seems to be /dev/sda1 as I can mount it manually, but it never
tries to mount it. Is there a way to tell casper which cdrom drive to
use?

As it was ok to type in the cyrillics using en_US.UTF-8 locale, I've just
symlinked it to ru_RU.UTF-8.
My tests using notepad.exe and Lotus
Sleep and hibernate modes now work properly on Feisty Fawn. I don't know
how long this has been the case, but I mark this as Fix Released.

GhostScript. Note the [GPL GS WORKS] in the title. Please whenever you
find a GhostScript bug try also gs-gpl and add the [GPL GS WORKS] to the
