The problem occured when you tried to display a PostScript or PDF file
on the screen. Try to reproduce the bug by trying to display PostScript
or PDF files which you recently tried to display. Also the print preview
functions which are availabe in some applications display PostScript
files, so redoing your recent print preview operations can also
reproduce the bug. If you are able to reproduce it, do

sudo apt-get install gs-gpl
sudo update-alternatives gs

The second command presents a menu, choose gs-gpl there. Can you still
reproduce the bug? Or can you display the file now which you were not
able to display before. Please post the file, so that it can be added to
the regression testing at ghostscript.com.

If you cannot print any more now, you printer needs ESP GhostScript.
Return to use of ESP GhostScript via

sudo update-alternatives gs

and choosing gs-esp.
