When using add to panel to add "contacts overview" there is no icon,

I currently have an uptime of over 3 days. By turning off the powernow
daemon, the cpu frequency scaling is disabled.
This has kept kernel crashes away as well as mythtv from crashing.
There is no more errors in the kernel about bttv either.

ACPI problem can be worked around by also using no_timer_check. I have checked
newer kernels (2.6.18 and 2.6.19-rc6) and none of those seems to be affected.
I'd recommend either back-porting the relevant patch or adding "notsc

characters correctly. Changing to VGA fonts (not Fixed fonts) fix
display accents (á, à, ã, â, ä, etc...), but special characteres in

According to the Wine HQ website, there is no support for Free Pascal or

and try booting? Getting a photo or a transcription of the kernel panic message
is needed to debug this.
Also, you surely mean the "r8169" driver? I'm not sure what "r1000" is, but
r8169 is the realtek gigabit driver
ok, so after further investigation. it turns out that if you install
libvisual-plugins after you install the gstreamer libvisual plugin (comes
installed by default?) that gstreamer doesn't pickup on the plugins.
i ended up forcing gstreamer to regenerate lots of info by running "rm
~/.gstreamer
hrm, okay, sorry. must have misread it.

I have a Dell Latitude D600 with a Pentium-M 1.4Ghz. I applied the
modified patch posted here and had no success. I also tried the 2.6.18
kernel on a whim and that did not solve the issue either.

The same bug is on all kernel compiled with gcc 4.1.x (No ubuntu bug so)
I tried:

Following DOUBLE_CONSOLE_SWITCH in resume, I added
following lines in "lid.sh"
chvt 12;
chvt 7;
after the line, containing
su $user -c "xset dpms force on"
It seems to have solved the problem in my z60t thinkpad running Kubuntu
edgy.

quidance-power-manager only instructs HAL to suspend/hibernate and then
everything is done by acpi-support and kernel to properly suspend the
system.
I would suggest that you try this first from the console prompt with
"sudo pmi action suspend" and "sudo pmi action hibernate" - this will

I'm not entirely sure if this is related, but I believe it is. I
noticed that since Edgy, Konqueror does not properly follow the saved
profile everywhere.
For example, I like to view directories in the detailed mode. So I set
it in the menu View, and save the profile. Then, if I insert a CD, or

Managed to duplicate bug in the following fashion:
1) First load Evolution and select a folder other than Inbox. Select a mail
message.
2) Load another folder. Shutdown.
