Binary package hint: solarwolf
This is a bug I've encountered for a long time (at least Hoary) in
various installs, and it's still here in Edgy.
- launch Solarwolf
- play it some time
- when you encounter for the first time a bonus, a pop-up explaning it appears,

following up on this issue, i discovered that the /etc/X11/xorg.conf
file contains a long list of wrong font paths since the upgrade to edgy.
After inspecting all the paths, I changed the font paths to all point to:
/usr/share/fonts/X11/
instead of the old paths which were:
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/...

Another long-time annoyance in solarwolf :
- launch solarwolf
- go to "Setup"
- set "Volume" and "Music" to "off"
- Return to Menu
- Start a game
- You will hear a (pretty loud and ugly) whipping sound

Sorry for the vague report, it was late, and I had been fighting with
edgy for hours...
The problem was that after upgrading, and re-installing both mplayer and
mozilla-mplayer plugin, neither of them would play video.
I have since compiled mplayer from source and installed in properly. this now
Same problem here. It was working with Dapper and after the Edgy upgrade
it got broken. Fixed to the max. frequency of 1.73GHz.
That is what I get:
$ cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep name
model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.73GHz
$ sudo modprobe speedstep-centrino

I apologize for my very poor English.
Any device is /dev/sdb goes slowly and when it works the system is
unstable.
hdparm -tT /dev/sda /dev/sdb returns
