hosting VMware
It happens with Feisty. I haven't had this many problems with VMware
since I ran Fedora. I tried the any-any-update109 patch and that didn't
help either

Can you provide more information on this? I am using Ubuntu Dapper (both
"server" and "desktop", and edgy "desktop") in virtualized environments
as both hosts and guests using Vmware server and Vmware workstation 5.5
and have not experienced any "disconnects".
