Can you provide any more details at all? I'm running vmware workstation 6 RC (and have been running the older betas) on Feisty for some time and I haven't seen anything I could describe as a "desconnect". Similarly I have several production and staging servers running Dapper and Edgy hosting VMware server, and again I haven't seen anything that sounds similar. Please post more detail so we can effectively help solve your problem.
