@ punong_bisyonaryo: Sorry, but I can't do that. Some systems might not
be able to install libavcodec-extra because they didn't enable those
parts of Ubuntu, legal reasons I believe. You DO need libavcodec, but
that is installed as dependency of ffmpeg if you don't have libavcodec-
extra. Therefor,
I am using lucid ubuntu-une on i386.

With regards to the original problem, "Unknown encoder 'libmp3lame'"
also showed up on my system. However, after checking out the WinFF
website, learning that I needed libavcodec-extra-52 and installing it,
it worked fine.
I think that having libavcodec as a dependency will solve a lot of
problems

What do you mean by "doesn't work at all". Do you get the same error
message as reported by the original reporter? If not, please fill a
separate bug report.
By the way, the settings are not supposed to propagate to the advanced
window (although that would be a great feature request).
