Using multimedia/function keys clears xset repeat setting
Not sure if it helps to debug this bug but I had same issue with Debian
Squeeze where two buttons reseted xset settings: Fn+Down and Fn+Up (lcd
brightness). I solved it by disabling HAL in debian, however as far as I
know Ubuntu 10.04 should not use HAL any more.
However one side-note, after HAL d
I have it too on Xubuntu 10.04 and ASUS Eee PC 1001PX.
I use xmodmap to fix keyboard layout a little, then `xset r 105` to set
repeat for the left arrow, which is former Ctrl key. It works, but after
I press one of the several (not all) of the keys with special function
with Fn modifier, repeat is
