I've noticed, that CD printing from GIMP works good, but when I print
from Inkscape then CD cover is enlarged and I must make it smaller -
about 11x11cm instead of 12x12 cm :(
I tried on Canon ip4000 printer print with gutenprint 5.0.0 (from Edgy),
because gutenprint 5.0.0.99 version from Feisty a
Gutenprint 5.0.1 is now packaged for Gutsy, please test.

I am CCing everyone who has made Ubuntu packages of Gutenprint, as most
of the numerous changes were already there when I started packaging
Gutenprint for Ubuntu.

There is now a new Gutenprint version for Feisty. Please test it on
Feisty (use live CD if you do not have Feisty installed). Especially
test the option for shrinking/expanding the image to fit it to the page
size.

OK, this backport package does not fix the problem. The size of a CD is
still (!) smaller then 12 cm ( and believe me, a CD is 12 cm over here
and can be printed completely too!!!) If specifying the size of the
media could just be released (manually entered or something alike) then
this would solve

People who experience problems with gutenprint 5.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu6 in
Dapper should try the "Testing backport" packages for gutenprint
5.0.0-2ubuntu2 (backported from Edgy) that can be found in bug #61843.

Using the updated version, the problem is still there. The medium is
still displayed wrong: 11,61cmX11,61cm instead of 12cmX12cm
The print isn't actually shrunk, the printing size is specified wrong
and because of THAT the image is shrunk to the medium. If this is set
to/can be edited to a bigger
