People who experience problems with gutenprint 5.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu6 in Dapper should try the "Testing backport" packages for gutenprint 5.0.0-2ubuntu2 (backported from Edgy) that can be found in bug #61843. If these backport packages work for you please confirm which problem/bug it solves so these packages can become an official Dapper backport.
