Sorry for the delay in replying. I had some trouble replicating the
bug, as explained below.
It is possible a kernel update occurred around the same time. To test
whether the kernel was responsible, I tried booting with the three
kernel versions on my system: 2.6.27-7, -9, -11. On all t

Also, to rule out the BIOS as a suspected problem, could you try
downgrading your BIOS to the previous release believed to work and see
if you can reprodu

My keyboard no longer functions after resuming from standby. This is a
relatively recent bug - I believe it is connected to a BIOS update to
allow me to control screen brightness.
