Moved bug to flashplugin-nonfree and marked as fixed, since flash 9 beta
(which solves the issue) landed in feisty and {edgy,dapper}-backports.

ok this is worse than I thought
running "aoss konqueror" will also freeze konqueror and kde itself only way to
get out is hit "ctr+alt+backspace"
so this is definitely? alsa-oss + flashplayer bug?

Works for me well on Edgy, using via sound-card. On Dapper I also did
not recognize such an error using snd_intel8x0. In firefoxrc is set
FIREFOX_DSP="none", the ubuntu default. Which version of firefox and
which version of flash are you using? Can you reproduce it using
default-setting?

I can reproduce this bug (visit http://www.ilbirrificio.it and click on
"Prenota un tavolo"). Workaround does not work even if both
~/.mozilla/firefox/firefoxrc and /etc/firefox/firefoxrc are set to
FIREFOX_DSP="aoss" -firefox still freezes. My soundcard uses
snd_intel8x0
