Works for me well on Edgy, using via sound-card. On Dapper I also did not recognize such an error using snd_intel8x0. In firefoxrc is set FIREFOX_DSP="none", the ubuntu default. Which version of firefox and which version of flash are you using? Can you reproduce it using default-setting?
