Hi Miriam,
I checked the crash files and all of them have the 1.0.5 version, I
don't see any crash after the update to 1.0.7, looks like it's solved.
In case I have the issue again with the new version I'll update the bug.
Thank you for your support!

Hi Douglas,
thanks a lot for checking. Then, it seems that other specific situation
trigger the segfault... Checking the clamav.log.1, I see your clamav
suite was updated to 1.0.7:

Hi Douglas,
When loading the core dump, it seems that it happened when scanning the
following file:

Could you please run clamscan only on this file to see if the segfault

Hi Douglas,
Great, thanks a lot... we're taking a look at it.
Could you provide the clamav logs (/var/log/clamav/clamav.log and
/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log) in addition?
Also, did you have the chance to reproduce the situation which leads to
this segfault, or even it happened again to you?

Hello Douglas,
Thanks a lot for coming back.
For security reasons, to unpack your crash report, we need a
downloadable link which can be used from the command line. Using the
link you provided, we cannot download the crash report:
~# curl -L
https://1drv.ms/u/c/4699b24013a10df3/ESRo-uXeNzxKq6N_
You mean this?
doug@bolado:/var/crash$ apport-unpack _usr_bin_clamscan.1000.crash clamscan
doug@bolado:/var/crash$ cd clamscan/

We should be able to pass a crash file to gdb, are you able to run the
command that Mitchell mentioned in comment #5 with success?

I think you need to unpack first:

Thanks Douglas, I'm not sure if the download link did something weird,
but when I tried to download your link, it wasn't a proper core dump.

The problem happened again but I was not able to attach the file because
it's too big, added a link to it. See if that helps!

Hi Sergio,
Thanks for checking-in. I was not able to reproduce the problem and
there is no coredump available under /var/crash. I have not changed any
configured in my system so if the problem happens again I will add more
information to this bug.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.
I see that libclamav generated a segmentation fault, which is indeed a
bug. Are you able to reproduce the problem? We will need at least a
stack trace in order to start investigating this issue. Can you check
