I have new netbook Mivvy L310 with Ubuntu Linux 8.04 pre-installed and I
installed latest version (9.04) too.
1 minute pause after boot I eliminated with kernel option thermal=off, becouse
detection of acpi thermal sensor is the cause of this issue.
But it isn't too good solution.

switch netbook on, it takes between half minute and 1 minute while this
message is displayed before boot process continue. Needless to say, very
fast boot of 9.
Thank you very much for your comment Leann. I decided to update to the
latest BIOS version first, I downloaded and applied BIOS version 1.14
for my notebook. After the update, the message disappeared. So I'm
marking this bug as invalid because it was a problem with my notebook's
BIOS rather than Ub
Hi Alexander,
Does it help if you boot with the acpi=force boot option? You may also
want to make sure your BIOS is uptodate. Thanks.
