I have ubuntu 16.04 and evolution 3.18.5.2, and the preview pane in classic or
vertical view, is really small, you can't even see the complete header with
that size!!, and there's no option to resize any section of evolution. The fix
that i found is go

One more comment: I have been able to reproduce this bug with a
different email client: Mozilla Thunderbird. So this is not Evolution-
specific.
To duplicate:
1)Install Thunderbird 3.0 from the repos and then install Mozilla Lightning
calendar extension from mozilla.org.
2)Maximize Thunderbir
I realize the fix won't come til 2.29.1, but just wanted to chime infor
any other Lucid Lynx users that the version that comes with Ubuntu 10.04
still has this bug. That is 2.28.3. Glad I came across this as it was
driving me crazy to resize the vertical pane every time I boot up. Un-
maximizing

This very same bug still occurs in ubuntu 9.04, evolution 2.26.1 (that
is to say : pane width, in vertical mode, is not remembered when the app
is maximized). Cheers !

I installed ubuntu 7.10 a couple of days ago and had the same problem
described above. The width of the columns in vertical view was not
remembered as long as the window was maximized.
Then I altered the width of the columns while the window was not

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Evolution.
2. Activate Vertical View (View -> Preview -> Vertical view).
3. Change messages-list column width.
4. Close Evolution.
5. Start it again.

the value of the mentioned key in gconf-editor (before and after re-
entering it) and the actual width of the preview pane in Evolution? Or
