I realize the fix won't come til 2.29.1, but just wanted to chime infor any other Lucid Lynx users that the version that comes with Ubuntu 10.04 still has this bug. That is 2.28.3. Glad I came across this as it was driving me crazy to resize the vertical pane every time I boot up. Un- maximizing the window, then manually dragging the window size to take up the whole screen allows the vertical pane to remember its location.
