FYI, I managed to do a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook on an Eee
PC S101 without encountering this problem.
Setup:
Installer running from a pluggable SD drive (created with the ubuntu startup
disk creator)
Running the installer in a "live session", ie, after booting Ubuntu proper.

I can confirm this on a ThinkPad X60. Following the description at
http://psung.blogspot.com/2008/09/scrolling-with-thinkpads-trackpoint-
in.html fixed the scrolling issues.
It would be great to see this setup by default.

Running Ubuntu 8.04, installed from Beta 5 and fully upgraded.
I am unable to use nautilus to mount mass storage drives via usb.
I have tested with 3 drives, two flash drives and one sata->usb, all
partitioned with fat32. All drives mounted in Ubunt
I can confirm this.
The libghc6-x11 package should depend on the libxinerama.
Building from source works if libxinerama-dev is installed.

The enable system beep option is not set correctly under gnome load in Feisty.
It worked flawlessly in Edgy but now I must start "Sound Preferences" manager

Substituting ``DejaVu Sans Condensed'' with ``Sans'' as proposed in

does the trick. Not a long term solution but the fonts look nice again.

font hinting does not work
An alternative fix, is to update your repositories to feisty and upgrade
``apt'' (sudo apt-get install apt).
Then add the line ``APT::Acquire::Translation none;'' to
/etc/apt/apt.conf
This resolves the issue of apt trying to get non-existing translation
files and Update-Manager now continues.
