Public bug reported: The enable system beep option is not set correctly under gnome load in Feisty. It worked flawlessly in Edgy but now I must start "Sound Preferences" manager found in System->Preferences and activate the "Enable system beep" option and then deactivate it again.
The beep does not reappear on logout/login in gnome after applying the above procedure. After reboot the beep is there again. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: - The enable system beep option is not set correctly under gnome load. + The enable system beep option is not set correctly under gnome load in Feisty.
