Although this is for the Bamboo CTL-460 it is perfectly working for the CTH as
well. Thank God (and Geek).

Today a new kernel was installed by the update manager and I compiled
the driver as described in
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=8283168&postcount=1, which worked
fien in Lucid till now. Compilation ends with errors and now I have no
driver and can't use my tablet. Snif!

Using Lucid Lynx 64 bit on Dell Inspiron.
For now Brasero dosesn't do anything, apart from asking for software that isn
there.
Gnome CD master dosn't see CD devices.
If you have the same problem and you are desperate use good old Gnomebaker. At
least I could copy a CD with it.

Thanks! This problem exists already for three releases, and nothing is done to
it! I had loads of problems on my previous computer with an Nvidia card, so
when I bought a new Dell I insisted on an expensive ATI card.
Result: these problems.
I really am a Linux fan, but this issue disappoints me
Please upgrade to Ubuntu 8.10. It installs the proprietary software for
BCM43xx. No need to use ndiswrapper anymore.
At least for me it worked with a Dell Inspiron 531, 64 bits and a Broadcom BCM
4318 wireless card.
Of course I can't garuantee, but it's worth trying.

Looks like a lot of work but it definitely brings your broadcom card to work.
As this solution uses the windows driver in ndiswrapper it leads to the
conclusion that the proprietary driver is Not w
It should be reported upstream when that means some work will be done in
trying to solve this bug. I didn't because I don't know how to do that.

Just switch off compiz for the time being. I reported this bug from the very
beginning of the Hardy release 64 bits
Have a Dell Inspiron 531, AMD X2 6000, 64 bit, ATI Radeon 2600 XT.
