When playing a video full screen there is a constant stutter every 10
odd seconds.
It is a fresh install of ubuntu 24.04.1 - installed mpv and mediainfo

connect to a lg tv, same as the Dell monitor, same as Samsung monitor.

It's specific to intel video.
Installed a radeon graphics card as a test, problem dissappears.
Remove the card, switch back to integrated graphics, problem comes back.
Also tested HW decoding and forcing software, makes no difference, both
stutter with intel.

Ok, although that didn't fix the issue, the output did give me a clue.
When you put the computer into hibernate, it writes the resume file to the
system swap.
My system has a secondary swap file:

as when I select the previous kernel (6.8.0-48) from Grub menu the

I have created noble 24.04 container with the following command:
lxc-create -B dir -t download -n noble-simple -- -d ubuntu -r noble -a amd64
then try to start the container running using:
lxc-start noble-

Confirmed that switching from Wayland to X11 has resolved issue. Still

was some error during the initial upgrade, causing it to exit and it had

This was the solution.
sudo apt-get remove --purge libreoffice*
I issued this command from terminal and then reinstalled. It worked.
Before, I was uninstalling from the Software Center. Something about
uninstalling from Software Center was the problem.

Yes, to produce the bug several time, all I did was apply a package profile to
several computers.
I have a profile that consists of several packages to be installed. The
contraint is any version since I want the latest version.

Applying a package profile leaves unnecessary file in sources

I checked the changelogs of the current Grub2 packages for Jammy.
I don't see patches for this issue yet. The last updates for Grub2
packages for Jammy were in April, and were for ARM, and a CVE security
update by you. Because that was "Security", I understand that those took
precedence
Those compatibility flags, mirror the pool create options I noted
above... With doing a snapshot of bpool, and Send'ing it 'somewhere',
even if that was to a flash-drive... Destroying the original bpool,
recreate the new bpool, then Receive, the snapshot back to restore it,
does fix that with less
