Yes. Even more, the fact that the last frame is shown as white page is annoying.
I tried by deleting the last frame from the source (the last xdmf000x), and of
course and reading error occurs.

I just uninstalled Paraview with synaptic, then I downloaded the general
version for Linux of Paraview 3.8 directly from their site. Now it works almost
fine (the last frame of the animation and the saved .avi animation became
lost). But at least an animation is saved!

I found a partial solution. The problem is on the mpich installation. It
installed mpi.h on several places and when mpi is called any program that use
it becomes confused.
I discover this during an installation checking by looking the .configure.log.
It showed me that the library -lmpich was
/ld-2.9.so (0x400)

I was trying to run a new program developed by SUNY at Buffalo and the
program seems to go into an infinite loop. The same happen with a former
version which also uses mpi. They do callings to mpich. Thus, I run
the program using valgrind:

I think is not a problem in Ktorrent. It happen also with other programs. I
have same problem with xmgrace in a eeePC. I though it was a problem o the
small screen in the Asus eeePC 4G. However now a remember the same problem with
other rograms even using Ubuntu (Edgy? Dapper? -dont remember).
This is mad. It seems that newer versions of ubuntu are based on previous
released versions plenty of bugs. In this way we never will obtain a stable
version that make us proud of Linux.
However, and despite of that, I always prefer Linux! I never loss my hopes.

I am trying to fix the non-detection problem for a HP LaserJet 5L (parallel
port). I am using Ubuntu6.06. I just tried with most of the tips without
success. However, it seems to me that the problem is that the parallel port are
used by someone/something.
