Hey guys, just wanted to say I found a workaround! Well as long as your'e using nautilus. https://github.com/brunonova/nautilus-hide It's a nautilus extension that adds files to a ~/.hidden folder that Nautilus then reads to know what to hide and what not to hide. So far it seems to work great!
