This is the code of my backported tc1100-wmi module (it comes form a

I've done a backport of tc1100-wmi.c from 2.6.27 to 2.6.24. As Carlos
Corbacho suggested, I've exploited the acer-wmi.c to remap the wmi
functions of tc1100-wmi.c. I've tested on my hardware and works. I'll
publish the source and a precompiled module on my ppa as soon as
possible.

I had the same problem. Verified on x86 with 32 or 64 bits on ext3, jfs, xfs.
I had seriuous file corruption on many machines.
The only workaround is:
1) update only libc6;
2) reboot from a live cd to fix the filesystem;
3) reboot from the hd;
4) reinstall all the packages;
5) update the the system

What I've done is build a new deb with the 1.0.1 sources and install it. Now I
can print.
If you want I can try to install the rpm but I didn't realy want to install
rpms into my machine.
If you want to know if the new sources works the answer is: yes, almost for my

Kubuntu is KDE-based and the IM for KDE is Kopete. Kubuntu don't install GAIM
by default, so we don't have problems for Kubuntu users.
We could notify gnome-keyring as a suggested dependecy of GAIM so if some KDE
user wants to install GAIM then he/she would be aware of the problem.
Maybe for Xubu
@ Mark Doliner
But Gaim is a dependance of ubuntu-desktop and Ubuntu is gnome-based. So what's
the problem?
This is a bug for Ubuntu not for gaim in general.
I'm totaly wrong?

implies).
The procedure is this:
1) If you haven't already used a DVD media (it's virgin) then you must format

2) Put a udf filesystem into your media with:
